Big relief to SP leader Azam Khan, MP-MLA court acquitted him in Dungarpur case

Former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has got a big relief from the court. Because, the court has acquitted all the 6 accused including Azam Khan in the Dungarpur case of Rampur. MP-MLA Court of Rampur has given its verdict in the case of forced eviction and demolition of houses. However, Azam Khan will still remain in jail regarding other matters. Out of total 12 cases related to Dungarpur, Azam Khan has been acquitted in 4 cases, while he has been convicted in two cases.

In fact, in the Dungarpur case, a case was registered against Azam Khan, retired CO Ale Hasan Khan and Barkat Ali Contractor etc. on 6 December 2019 in Police Station Ganj. The allegation was that Azam Khan, retired CO Ale Hasan Khan and Barkat Ali contractor assaulted him. Vandalized the house and threatened to kill. Along with this his house was demolished. This incident took place on 6 December 2016 when SP was in government and Azam Khan was the minister. In a case related to this, the court had sentenced Azam Khan to 10 years imprisonment this year.

Let us tell you that last year, in the fake birth certificate case, SP leader Azam Khan, his wife Tanzin Fatima and son Abdullah Azam were found guilty and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment. This case of fake birth certificate is related to the 2017 UP assembly elections. Then Abdullah Azam had contested the elections from Swar assembly seat of Rampur on SP ticket. He also won this election.
