Big announcement about Kho-Kho World Cup 2025, entry will be free for everyone

Koko World Cup 2025: During the first Kho-Kho World Cup in India, spectators were allowed free entry into the stadium. Sudhanshu Mittal, president of the Koko Federation of India (KKFI) and chairman of the World Cup Organizing Committee, made the announcement at a media conference on Sunday. He said the purpose of holding this event is to inspire a new generation of sports. As a result, spectators at the men’s and women’s matches will have free entry to the stadium. Sultanshu Mittal also revealed that snacks will also be provided to school children who come to the stadium to watch the World Cup. This initiative will inspire spectators, especially the younger generation, to take up the sport and help establish Kho-Kho as a top sport.

Koko World Cup begins

The event will be held in India from January 13 to 25, 2025. The matches will be played at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi and the Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida. In this competition, 21 teams participated in the men’s group and 20 teams participated in the women’s group. The first match of this World Cup will be between India and Pakistan. This match is a historic moment for Kho-Kho as it is the first time the game has been presented as such an important match on a global platform. These events are very important in promoting the traditional Indian game “Kho-Kho”. Not only does this provide an international platform for the players, but the younger generation will also have the opportunity to join the game.

These teams will participate

A training camp for the 60-man and 60-women national team for the Kho Kho World Cup is currently underway at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the Indian team for the tournament will be selected from these players. Teams such as the United States, England, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil have confirmed their participation in the tournament. The competition will be played in a league plus knockout format, for both men and women. Among Asian countries, Indonesia only sent a women’s team, while other countries sent both men’s and women’s teams.
