However, now Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee has made it clear that both the films will release together.
A few days ago, it was reported that Karthik Aryan called Singham Again director Rohit Shetty. During the conversation, Karthik asked Rohit not to release his film on the same day. It was later learned that Rohit Shetty and his team are considering Karthik’s request. Meanwhile, director Anees Bazmee said in an interview that he does not need to dwell on the box office numbers. Now he has issued a statement to clarify his point of view.
Anees Bazmee clarifies
He wrote, “Many people in the media have misunderstood my statement. As a filmmaker who has been in the industry for three decades, I have focused on creating great stories rather than the distribution and business of the film. I have seen many films become successful despite releasing on the same day. I think my words have been misunderstood. Let me say it differently – I am excited for both Singham 3 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. These are two great films, made by two talented teams. Let’s watch them together.
The director had made an important statement earlier
In fact, a few days ago, there was news that producer Bhushan Kumar met Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty. The three discussed whether the conflict between the two films could be stopped. Anees Bazmee had spoken to Mid Day about this. He had said that he had not discussed the issue of box office conflict with anyone.
Anis said: ‘Why should I talk to him? It is a matter of business decision between producers and I am just a director. The Singham Again team insisted on releasing its charges during Diwali. Conflict is never a good idea. I know we announced the release date of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 a year ago. But what can we do now? I have always said that a good film does not need a date. I am the last person who should focus on the box office numbers and release dates. These numbers and decisions are taken by the producers and distributors.
Talking about the two films, Trupti Dimri and Vidya Balan are working with Kartik Aryan for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Deepika Padukone will be seen with Ajay Devgan in Singham 3. Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and other actors from Rohit Shetty’s police universe will also be a part of it.
