Bharatiya Janata Party sends whip to Lok Sabha MPs, ‘One Nation, One Election’ bill to be introduced soon!

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued three whips to its MPs asking them to remain in the Lok Sabha. The party issued the whip on Tuesday. It is reported that the “One Country, One Election” bill will be introduced in the People’s House tomorrow. The party has instructed all MPs to make mandatory attendance at the House of Representatives tomorrow. It was earlier discussed that the government would introduce the “One Nation, One Election” bill in the Lok Sabha today, Monday, but it was postponed due to some reasons.

All NDA voters support the bill

If sources are to be believed, discussions on “One Nation, One Election” have been held with all the constituent parties of the NDA and all parties are supporting the bill. All speculations will be cleared after the updated agenda is released in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The bill was included in the business list of the Lok Sabha on Friday and copies of the bill were distributed to all lawmakers on the same day, but the bill was later removed from the revised business list of the Lok Sabha.

Bills can be sent to JPC

According to sources, the bill is likely to be sent to the JPC for introduction and detailed discussion and consensus building. The government has no objection to referring the bill to a parliamentary committee if requested by the House of Representatives. It is reported that the JPC will be formed tomorrow, in which the names of members of all political parties, including the BJP Congress, will also be announced. Others say the opposition is only opposed to it for political reasons.
