October 26, 2024: Ahead of the upcoming US presidential election, pop icon Beyoncé makes a splashy appearance at a rally in Houston, Texas, to make a powerful statement against Vice President Kamala Harris support.
Beyoncé, who is from Houston, addressed a crowd of 30,000 at the football stadium and emphasized the importance of the election and the issues involved, focusing specifically on abortion rights in Texas, which has some of the strictest abortion laws in the country.
Beyoncé introduced Harris at the event, emphasizing her commitment to creating a world where women have agency over their own bodies. “It’s time for America to sing a new song,” she declared, formally endorsing Harris in her presidential bid against former President Donald Trump. She positioned herself not just as a celebrity but as a caring mother, emphasizing her commitment to the future of the nation’s children.
Joining Beyoncé on stage was her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, who also expressed her pride in supporting Harris as a strong leader advocating for significant change in the country.

In addition to Beyoncé’s endorsement, Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio also expressed support for Harris, sharing a video on Instagram criticizing Trump’s stance on climate change and his withdrawal from “Paris” Climate Agreement. DiCaprio emphasized Harris’ commitment to climate action, citing her role in passing the Inflation Reduction Act and her vision to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
As the election approaches, Harris has received support from many other celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Chris Rock and George Clooney. This suggests significant cultural support for her campaign.
