The accused of murder of a 24-year-old girl from Bihar inside a hostel in Koramangala, Bengaluru, was arrested from Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Abhishek who brutally murdered Kriti Kumari on the night of 23 July and after that he fled to Madhya Pradesh.
The accused will be interrogated in Bengaluru to find out the reason behind the murder. The 24-year-old girl, who worked in a private company, was a colleague of the attacker’s girlfriend. Police said that the accused entered the PG hostel located in VR Layout at 11.30 pm on Tuesday night and slit Kriti’s throat with a knife in her room located on the third floor. The woman died on the spot.
The incident took place at Bhargavi Staying Homes for Ladies located in Venkatreddy Layout, just a kilometer away from the South East Deputy Commissioner of Police office and Koramangala Police Station. The woman was a colleague of the attacker’s girlfriend.

The deceased girl was from Bihar
Preliminary investigation revealed that the killer was a known person. The police have also blamed the negligence of the PG hostel owner for the incident. Police said that the girl, originally from Bihar, has been identified as 24-year-old Kriti Kumari. She worked in a private company in Bengaluru.
CCTV also came forward
It is seen in CCTV that Abhishek enters the PG hostel with a bag. When she opens the door for some time, he pulls her out by her hair and starts attacking her indiscriminately with a knife. During this, the victim protests the attack, but the killer continues attacking her and finally slits the girl’s throat.
Hearing the loud noise, other girls present in the hostel come to the spot, but are unable to save her. The victim was seen asking for help for some time but no girl came forward to help her.
The woman is also pleading for help while sitting on the floor soaked in blood. Police believe that the incident took place at Koramangala VR Layout PG between 11:10 and 11:30 pm on Tuesday night. This incident happened on the third floor of the PG, where Kriti lived in a room.
