Arvind Kejriwal today inducted former Congress MP Veer Singh Dhingan into the Aam Aadmi Party. Earlier, Congress leader Martin Ahmed and his lawmaker daughter-in-law also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

On the other hand, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday inducted former Congress leader Veer Singh Dhingan into his party and described him as the future MLA from Seemapuri constituency.

Dhingan, a Dalit leader who has won the MP seat from the reserved constituency of Seemapuri three times, is likely to contest from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming elections. Welcoming Dingan at a media briefing at the party office, Kejriwal said he is an experienced leader who can be considered as a future MLA from West Mapuri constituency.

The constituency was previously represented by former AAP minister Rajendra Pal Gautam, who left the party and joined the Congress in September, alleging discrimination within the AAP against Dalit and minority leaders people. The AAP convenor also said that his party will form the government in Delhi again after the assembly elections in February next year.

Haji Israq Khan joins Congress

On the other hand, expressing confidence in Congress’ policies, former Chairman of the Hajj Committee and former Minister of Justice Seelampur Haji Ishraq Khan left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the Congress Party. Let us tell you that the Congress and AAP had contested the Lok Sabha elections together, but the two parties decided to contest the Assembly elections separately.

Although both parties are part of the Indian Alliance, leaders of both parties have made it clear that they will contest the Delhi elections separately. Even before that, the two parties had begun undermining each other’s leaders. On Thursday, Aam Aadmi Party leaders joined the Congress and Congress leaders also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
