Major negligence of the health department has come to light in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where even a can of beer was getting cold in the deep freezer that kept the vaccine. Its picture is going viral on social media. There was a stir in the department on receiving information about the incident. Departmental officials are now talking about investigating the matter and taking action. At present, the matter is gaining momentum.
Let us tell you that the Health Department has given instructions/orders to keep BCG polio vaccine, life saving medicines, hepatitis B vaccine and other medicines for treatment in deep freezers in all government hospitals for newborn children. But the employees of the health department of Bulandshahr are not following these instructions/orders. Its hallmark was seen in a CHC in the district.
Actually, a can of beer was being cooled in the freezer made for storing medicines in the government CHC located at Dharpa in Bulandshahr. Then someone captured the photo of the beer can kept in the freezer in his mobile and then uploaded it on social media. When the news came in the media, health department officials took cognizance of it.
The concerned officials are claiming that an investigation will be conducted in this matter and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. According to Bulandshahr CMO Vinay Kumar, information about the matter was received on August 5. ACMO has been appointed as the investigating officer in this case. At present, the investigation is ongoing. Appropriate action will be taken against the guilty employee.
