President Joe Biden‘s Oval Office address on Sunday left several viewers puzzled when he mistakenly referred to the ‘ballot box’ as the ‘battle box.’ During his speech, he addressed the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and urged the nation to stay united and avoid violence. The 81-year-old also came dangerously close to using his opponent Trump’s signature slogan – ‘Make America Great Again’.

Biden asked Americans to “lower the temperature in our politics”. “We’re friends, co-workers, citizens, and most importantly, we are fellow Americans. We must stand together. There is no place in America this kind of violence for any violence ever, period. No exceptions. We can’t allow this violence to be normalized.”

“Disagreement is inevitable in America lives. Politics must never be a battlefield or God forbid, a killing field. I believe politics ought to be an arena for peaceful debate, to pursue justice, to make decisions guided by the Declaration of Independence in our constitution,” the president added.
