Bangladesh fan hospitalized after falling ill: A Bangladesh fan was admitted to hospital after becoming “ill” at Green Park Stadium on the first day of the second Test match between India and Bangladesh on Friday. The incident was initially believed to be a scuffle as the fan said he was physically assaulted. But now Kanpur police have clarified the entire incident.

The fan calls himself “Superfan Robbie.” At the time of the incident, he was wearing a tiger costume and sitting in the C stand. However, he later said in a statement from his hospital bed that he felt unwell and got the help he needed from local police.

“I was sick and the police took me to the hospital. Now I feel better,” he said in a brief video. My name is Robbie and I am from Bangladesh.

ACP (Kayanpur) Abhishek Pandey said Robbie received immediate medical attention. He insisted he was not attacked as initially reported.

The official said: “During the test match between India and Bangladesh, a spectator named Tiger suddenly fell ill. As soon as he fell ill, the police sent him to the medical team for treatment. He is fine now.

“There were some reports of attacks but these were baseless and no such incident happened to him,” he said. Earlier, an official from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association said Robbie could not speak out The exact sequence of events, but he was in pain.

The second and final match of the Test series between India and Bangladesh will begin on September 27 (Friday).
