Bandits kidnapped and shot his father to death 17 years ago, now a lawyer, the defendant was sentenced to life in prison

News came out of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, that a child was kidnapped for ransom 17 years ago. Now, after studying law, he sentences kidnappers to life sentences. In this case, the court sentenced the accused Guddan Kachhi, Rajesh Sharma, Rajkumar, Fateh Singh alias Chhiga, Amar Singh, Balveer, Ramprakash and Bhikam alias Bhikhari to life imprisonment. The perpetrators were also fined Rs 1 lakh.

The kidnapping occurred 17 years ago

Let us tell you that on February 10, 2007, Avinash Garg of Kheragarh town lodged an FIR that he and his brother Ravi Garg were sitting in a drug store . Apart from Ravi Garg, his 7-year-old son Harsh Garg was also present. Meanwhile, around 7 pm, a jeep with a Rajasthan number came and stopped. Guddan Kutch and other friends arrived at the shop in a jeep. They abducted Harsh by force and when his father Ravi Garg protested, they shot and injured him. Thereafter, the accused demanded a ransom of Rs 55 lakh. Based on the complaint, police have registered a kidnapping case involving Guddan Kachhi and 14 others.

After the FIR was registered, different police teams started a search operation to recover Harsh. Meanwhile, Agra and Madhya Pradesh police launched a joint operation to find Harsh. Harsh was rescued by the police on March 6, 2007, in Shivpuri town, Madhya Pradesh. Later, the police arrested Guddan Kachhi, Rajkumar, Fateh Singh, Amar Singh, Balveer, Rajesh Sharma, Bhikam Singh and Ram Prakash and sent them to jail.

First, my father filed a lawsuit

Harsh said his testimony began in 2014 and continued through 2018. Ravi Garg’s father is a lawyer and initially litigated his son’s case himself. Harsh once watched lawyers argue in court. After graduation, Harsh received his LLB degree from Agra College in 2022. In 2023, Harsh was registered with the Bar. Harsh himself began attending hearings in the case with prosecutors. Ultimately, the court sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment. Harsh said he was detained by the bandits for about 26 days.
