At the exit point with mixed population, citizen volunteers from that area will help the police and report any untoward activity in the area. On Saturday, angry Kanwariyas allegedly pulled the driver out of the vehicle and beat him up after it collided with a car near Rawali Cut in Muradnagar. They also allegedly damaged the car.

Car owner Naubahar Singh (40) was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He is a resident of Muradnagar. Mishra said that the driver was allegedly drunk and was driving the car in the wrong direction. Later the Kanwariyas blocked the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and created ruckus. This caused traffic jam. In view of the sensitive situation after the incident, two companies of Provincial Armed Police (PAC) have been deployed at the Ganga Canal Bridge in Muradnagar town adjacent to Rawali Road and security has also been increased in other areas of the district.
