Delhi High Court on Monday stayed the arrest of former IAS probationer Pooja Khedkar till August 21. While hearing the anticipatory bail petition, the High Court granted interim protection from arrest to Pooja Khedkar. Pooja is accused of fraud as well as wrongly availing the benefits of OBC and disability quota.

Justice Subramaniam Prasad of Delhi High Court issued a notice to Delhi Police as well as UPSC on the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Pooja Khedkar and asked them to file a reply.

Justice Prasad said that considering the facts of the present case, the court is of the view that the petitioner should not be arrested till the next date of hearing. Now the court has fixed the next hearing of the case on August 21.

Pooja Khedkar had given wrong information in her application for UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2022 to get reservation benefits. On July 31, UPSC had canceled Khedkar’s candidature and debarred him from such examinations in future also.

In this case, on August 1, a sessions court in Delhi had refused to grant him anticipatory bail and said that there were serious allegations against him, which needed a thorough investigation. Pooja Khedkar had approached the sessions court and said that she was in immediate danger of arrest.
