After Mahsi CO Rupendra Gaur, another SP Pavitra Mohan Tripathi was removed from the post over allegations of negligence. Durga Prasad Tiwari replaced Pavitra Mohan Tripathi as the new additional SP of Bahraich. And Pavitra Mohan Tripathi has been attached to the DGP headquarters. Further action may be taken after attachment.
Meanwhile, the BJP MLA from Mahsi Sureshwar Singh had lodged an FIR on October 13 in connection with the violence case, in which eight persons, including Arpit Srivastava, were registered at the city police station. A case has been registered under the serious category of rioting, stone pelting and attempt to murder. An investigation into the matter has been launched.

Let us tell you that Ram Gopal Mishra, a resident of Rehua Mansoor village in Balaichhadi police station area, participated in the Durga idol immersion procession on October 13 at around 6 pm . When the procession passed through a particular neighborhood in Maharajganj market, an argument broke out between the two parties. During this time, stones were allegedly started being thrown from the roof, leading to a stampede during the soak. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal was shot dead on the roof.

An accused in the Balaich violence has approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the demolition notice issued by the state government. The petition submitted states that the building is 25 years old and that the home was needlessly targeted following the violence.
