The court again sent the defendant to police custody until October 25.

The four persons arrested in the Baba Siddiqui murder case were produced before the Mumbai Marina Court after their police custody ended. Deputy Chief Metropolitan Judge V R Patil of the Marina Court extended the police custody of the four accused. On the evening of October 12, NCP leader Siddiqui was shot dead in the Nirmal Nagar area of ​​Bandra. He later died at Lilavati Hospital.

Defendant not cooperating with investigation – Police

Mumbai police detained Gurmail Baljit Singh, a resident of Haryana, Dharamraj Kashyap of Uttar Pradesh, Harish Kumar Nishad and Pune residents after expiry of remand Praveen Lonkar was brought to court. The deputy chief metropolitan magistrate extended the police remand of the four men until October 25.

Police asked for further remand, saying the defendant was not cooperating with investigations and provided misleading information. According to the prosecution, wanted criminal Shivkumar Gautam, along with Singh and Kashyap, shot at Siddiqui. Praveen Lonkar’s brother Shubham is allegedly associated with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

10 defendants have been arrested so far

Earlier on Sunday, Mumbai Police arrested the tenth accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The accused, Bhagwat Singh, is Om Singh, a resident of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The accused was engaged in scrap business in Navi Mumbai. He is accused of providing the gunman with a weapon, police said. At the same time, the court has transferred the defendant to police custody until October 26.
