Baba Siddiqui Murder Case.
Shiv Kumar alias Shiva, the prime accused in the murder case of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, has been arrested. A joint operation conducted by the Mumbai Crime Branch and the Uttar Pradesh STF led to the arrest of four more persons, including the main accused from Balaichi. Accused Shiv Kumar revealed many secrets related to the murder during interrogation.
Gunman Shiv Kumar said in his confession that it was the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who asked him to commit the murder. Shivkumar also admitted that he received Rs 10 lakh per month and other payments in exchange for the murder. Shivkumar revealed that he and Dharamraj Kashyap were residents of the same village and used to work as scrap dealers in Pune.
This is how I met Anmol Bishnoi
There he met Shubham Lonkar who worked for Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Shivkumar, Shubham asked him to talk to Anmol Vishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, through Snapchat. After this conversation, he was told that he would get Rs 10 lakh after the murder of Baba Siddiqui and that he would continue to get money every month in the future. The weapons, bullets, SIM cards and mobile phones used in the murder were supplied by Shubham Lonkar and Mohammad Yasin Akhtar.
The gunman Shiv Kumar has been absconding since the day of the incident.
Shivkumar further said that he and his colleagues had been monitoring Baba Siddiqui’s activities for many days and were waiting for the right time. On the night of October 12, 2024, he shot and killed Baba Siddiqui when he found an opportunity amidst the crowds and police bustle. Shiv Kumar was absconding on the day of the incident, but two of his accomplices were arrested on the spot.
The defendant who helped was also arrested
After escaping, Shivkumar threw his mobile phone on the road and reached Baraich from Pune via Jhansi via Lucknow. There, he planned to escape to Nepal and was contacting his other associates. Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhileshender Akhileshendra Pratap Singh was also arrested for providing shelter to Shivkumar and helping him escape to Nepal.
The police will take you from Baraich to Mumbai
All these people were arrested and taken to Nampara police station in Balaich district from where the Mumbai Crime Branch team will take them to Mumbai for further legal action. The police have launched an investigation into the case and three suspects have been arrested. Previously, the police had arrested 11 people in connection with the murder, including two shooting suspects.

Let us tell you that the responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddiqui was borne by the gang of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who was in jail. The joint operation of the Mumbai Crime Branch and the UP STF is seen as a severe crackdown on organized crime under the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Police are doing their best to contact every defendant involved, big or small. The case is under investigation and no possible angle is being ignored. Police believe that after interrogating Shivkumar and his associates, they will also learn new aspects of the murder.
