Azam Khan gets a setback, cases related to Jauhar University will not be heard together, plea rejected by MP MLA court

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan has received a setback from Rampur Court. The bench of MP MLA Special Court (Magistrate Trial) Shobhit Bansal has rejected the petition filed by Azam Khan’s side. Actually, a charge sheet was filed against Khan in 27 cases related to Jauhar University.

Azam Khan is accused of forcing farmers to transfer their lands in his name by threatening to implicate them in false cases and put them in jail. In these cases, separate charge sheets were filed in the court by the police. But Azam Khan’s side said that all these cases are of the same nature and are related to the same incident. Therefore, all these should be heard together.

Farmers had filed a case in 2019

In this case, Special MP MLA Court Magistrate Trial Shobhit Bansal had rejected this application of Azam Khan’s side. Regarding which an application was filed by Azam Khan’s side. But now it has also been rejected. In such a situation, all these cases will be heard separately. On this subject, Senior Prosecution Officer Amarnath Tiwari said that the farmers of Aliya Ganj had lodged a complaint at Azim Nagar police station in the year 2019.

In which all 27 farmers had said that Jauhar University has been built on their land. Azam Khan had forcibly taken thumb impressions from the farmers to include the land in the trust. Farmers were also beaten up. The farmers filed a case regarding the entire matter and after the charge sheet came to the court, an application was submitted in the court on behalf of all the accused. Which was rejected by the honorable court.

Regarding this, a petition was submitted in the court on behalf of the accused Mohammad Azam Khan, Abdullah Azam, Tanzeen Fatima and Ale Hasan that all the cases are related to the same incident. In such a situation, these cases should be merged together and one case should be run.

The prosecution objected to this application. After hearing both the parties, the Hon’ble Special Judicial Magistrate MP MLA Court Shobhit Bansal rejected the application. Also, Shobhit Bansal said that the case will be heard separately.
