More than 10 lakh senior citizens have been enrolled in Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. Under the leadership of AB PM-JAY, the program achieved such record registrations within three weeks of its launch. Not only this, around 4 lakh women have been nominated so far under Ayushman Vaya Vandana card.
Since the launch of the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, treatments worth over Rs 9 crore have been provided. Among them, there are more than 4,800 elderly people aged 70 and above. Meanwhile, more than 1,400 women availed free medical facilities under the scheme. Prime Minister Modi launched this card on October 29, 2024.
Treatments worth over Rs 9 crore approved in three weeks
People above 70 years of age have been connected to these facilities under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). This achievement was achieved within three weeks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the card on October 29, 2024. According to Ayushman Vaya Vandana card, there are around 4 lakh women nominations.
Since the launch of Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, treatments worth over Rs 9 crore have been approved. According to a report released by PIB, more than 4,800 senior citizens have benefited from the program in just three weeks. These include more than 1,400 women.

According to the release, the Ayushman Vaya Vandana card has so far treated various ailments such as cataract surgeries, strokes and more. These treatments include many conditions such as coronary angioplasty, hip fracture or replacement, cholecystectomy, cataract surgery, prostatectomy, and stroke.
