She said, ‘I was the youngest person to be nominated for the original screenplay of a short film at the Berlin Film Festival. And in our film, I and Manish Raisinghan, who was my co-actor in the serial Sasural Simar Ka, we both made a short film together. There was a film festival in Berlin, where the best film was also won. Many people do not know this. We used to do this. I was 15-16 years old then. We have been to the Cannes Film Festival two-three times. That (short film) was also screened there, we had released the poster of another picture. Then they also sold it at another place in France. We did a lot by going there.
Avika told that when she was going to Cannes Film Festival, many designers refused to give her their clothes. No one was showing interest in dressing him. In such a situation, the actress had asked one of her friends for her gown, which she also wore on the red carpet.
How do stars get photographed in Cannes?
Avika Gaur also told how stars are photographed on the red carpet of Cannes. He said, ‘Very few people know this. But there are many photographers on the red carpet of Cannes, who take your photos. Then they give you their card, on which their photo booth number is written. So you can go there and collect your photos and give them to your PR. This means that you have to buy your photos from them. The actress said that she has also become friends with a photographer in France. Every year at the Cannes Film Festival, he takes photographs of people day and night, writes down numbers and perhaps this is how he is surviving throughout the year.

Avika also talked about the secret place of Cannes. She said, ‘When I was young, I used to think that you walk on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival and go inside and watch the movie and that’s it. But after going to Cannes, Manish and I came to know that there is a market area behind it where you get to know where and what films are actually being made. There are different pavilions in different countries, where you can get information. When we went the second time, we enjoyed all those things completely. For the second time we saw how filmmaking is done. That’s why we sold the film in France. Our focus was something else.
He further said, ‘I have a friend Palash Muchhal who went to Cannes this year. Before she left, I had told her to not only go to the red carpet and pose but also to go to the market area at the back. You will get an understanding of filmmaking in the market area. I heard all this talk about Unreal Engine there in 2013-14. Not only Hollywood, there are films from every country, filmmakers from every country come there. So you also get a chance to watch a lot of movies. Not just the red carpet ones.
