All NCC cadets will take their positions at 6.20 am on 15th August. After this, all the preparations will be checked and PM Modi will reach Red Fort at around 7.17 pm. Guard of honor will be given to PM Modi at 7.19 pm. After this, at 7.26 pm PM Modi will meet the chiefs of the three armies and at 7.30 pm PM Modi will hoist the flag. After this, PM Modi will address the nation at 7.33 pm. The national anthem will be played after PM Modi’s speech at 8.30. After this, along with PM Modi, NCC cadets and other soldiers will also depart from the Red Fort.

This program held at the Red Fort is public, in which anyone can go. There is a different seating arrangement for each category and they are given passes. Common people can also participate in this program and get their pass made. You can get this pass made through online and offline medium.

There are special arrangements for traffic

In view of August 15, special arrangements have been made for traffic around the Red Fort in Delhi. There is a separate entry arrangement for the people coming from Noida and there is a separate arrangement for parking for the people going to the Red Fort event. At the same time, security arrangements have been tightened in Delhi on August 15 and vigil has been increased everywhere. Keeping in mind the input of terrorist activities just before August 15, Delhi Police Commissioner has banned the use of aerial devices like paraglider, paramotor in Delhi.
