Who is Justice Sanjeev Khanna?
Sanjeev Khanna was born into a family of jurists, the son of Justice Devaraj Khanna, a judge of the Delhi High Court, and the nephew of Justice Hansraj Khanna, a senior judge of the Supreme Court. . Long term legal experience
He has a long-standing role in the Income Tax Department as senior standing counsel in the areas of commercial law, corporate law, land law, environmental law and medical negligence. In 2004, he was appointed as the Standing Legal Advisor to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. He has also played his role with distinction in many criminal cases as Additional Public Prosecutor and Amicus Curiae of the Delhi High Court. In 2005, he was promoted to Additional Judge of Delhi High Court. Became a permanent judge in 2006. While serving as a judge of the Delhi High Court, he served as Chairman/Presiding Judge of the Delhi Judicial College, the Delhi International Arbitration Center and the District Court Arbitration Centre.

On January 18, 2019, he was elevated to the rank of Justice of the Supreme Court of India. He served as Chairman of the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee from June 17, 2023 to December 25, 2023. He currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority and a member of the Board of Governors of the National Judicial College, Bhopal.
