‘Arrangements will have to be made to break the finger’, Mamata’s minister said, while the medical student who wrote a post on CM arrested

Protests are being held in the country against the incident of rape and murder of a trainee female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal. Students and doctors of various medical colleges are protesting even today. People are also raising their voice prominently on social media.

On the other hand, Kolkata Police is sending notices to several people for allegedly posting wrong information regarding the incident, which also includes the name of TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Ray.

Mamata’s minister’s bad words
Amidst all this, West Bengal Minister Udayan Guha has become angry over the continuous questions being raised on the Bengal government. While giving a controversial statement in Cooch Behar, he said that arrangements will have to be made to break the fingers of those who are raising fingers against Mamata Banerjee.

Udayan Guha said, ‘Those who are abusing Mamata Banerjee on social media and those who are pointing fingers and demanding Mamata Banerjee’s resignation. Those fingers will have to be identified and arrangements will have to be made to break them. Otherwise these people will try to convert Bengal into Bangladesh. But they don’t know that Mamata Banerjee has not made the mistake that Hasina did. Despite vandalism in the hospital, Mamata Banerjee did not open fire.

This allegation has been made against the student
Kolkata Police has arrested a college student who has been accused of posting controversial posts on social media. A 23-year-old student has been arrested by Taltala police station for posting “objectionable comments” against CM Mamata Banerjee and allegedly revealing the identity of a rape victim.

A complaint was received at Taltala police station alleging that the accused student had uploaded three Instagram stories on her account related to the incident that took place at RG Kar Hospital, in which the photograph and identity of the victim woman had been revealed.

Along with this, the accused student was also accused of sharing two stories against the Chief Minister of West Bengal, in which objectionable comments and threats to kill her were made. It was said that it is of very inflammatory nature and can lead to social unrest at any time and can promote hatred among the community.

On the basis of written complaint, FIR was registered under section 72/79/240/351(2)/352/353(1)/356(2)/196(1) of BNS and a team of Taltala Police Station visited Lake Town He was arrested yesterday afternoon from the student’s house.

TMC MP reached High Court against summons
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MP Sukhendu Shekhar Ray has reached the High Court against the Kolkata Police notice in which he was summoned to the police headquarters. Shukhendu Shekhar had demanded that the CBI should interrogate the Kolkata Police Commissioner and the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

He had demanded that the former principal of the medical college and hospital and the police commissioner be detained and interrogated so that it could be found out ‘who spread the news of suicide and why.’ Kolkata Police termed this post as fake and summoned him by sending him a notice. Now Shukhendu has moved the High Court to cancel this summons. The police notice has been challenged in his petition.
