According to the latest information, the encounter with terrorists is still going on in Baramulla and Kishtwar and the security forces have taken charge. Firing started again from both sides early in the morning. It is believed that 2-3 terrorists are hiding in a building in the Chak Tapper area of ​​​​Police Sub Division Pattan. Army and Jammu Kashmir Police personnel are constantly engaged in searching for the terrorists.

Firing started from both sides. Operation is ongoing.’

The encounter took place two days after the Army killed two Pakistani terrorists belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit in the upper reaches of Basantgarh in Udhampur district.

Earlier on Friday evening, based on a tip-off, security forces cordoned off the Naidgham area of ​​Chhatru region in Kishtwar and launched a search operation. During this, an encounter took place. The soldiers came face to face with the terrorists and the encounter started around 3:30 pm. During this, two soldiers were martyred. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh. Two other soldiers have been injured, who are being treated at Udhampur Army Hospital.

Officials said that based on a tip-off, the security forces cordoned off the Naidgham area of ​​Chhatru sector and launched a search operation, during which the encounter took place. The soldiers came face to face with the terrorists.

Let us tell you that on Friday itself, the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, on receiving intelligence information, conducted a search operation in the Keran sector of Kupwara, where a large number of weapons, magazines and explosive material were recovered.
