Punjab DGP meets farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal
Jagjit Singh Dallewal was on fast since November 26 at the Kanauli border and his health started deteriorating. After the Supreme Court took up the matter, today (Sunday) Home Ministry Director Mayank Mishra and Punjab Police Commissioner Gaurav Yadav came to meet farmer leader Dallewal . Here he inquired about his health. During this period, a meeting was held between farmers’ organization leaders and the police.
Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs Mayank Mishra said after meeting farmer leaders at the Kanauli border that we have heard all the demands of the farmer leaders. I came on the orders of the Supreme Court.

A meeting was held with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chouhan on Saturday. Later, Director Mayank Mishra met the farmer leaders. Under such circumstances, I believe the door to dialogue between farmers and the government will now open.
The Attorney General of Punjab said that we have obtained information about the condition of Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is very worried about his health. We have conveyed his message to him. We are working hard to coordinate with them to resolve this issue.
Dallewal Saheb’s life is precious – DGP
Following the Supreme Court order, we appeal to Dhalewal and his associates to provide them with emergency medical assistance, the DGP said. The life of Jagjit Singh Dhalewal Sahab was very precious. It was very important for him to stay here (on the Kanauli border) and lead the movement peacefully.

Dallewal fasted for 20 days until his death
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal went on a hunger strike at the Kanauli border until his death on November 26. His condition continued to deteriorate in the past 3-4 days. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said farmer leader Dhalewal should be spoken to and his fast should be ended. Today, officials came to see him. After the news of Dhalewal’s poor health came out, many leaders came to meet him.
Farmers tried to march to Delhi yesterday
Yesterday, farmers standing at the Shambhu border tried to march to Delhi for the third time. But police fired water cannons and tear gas shells to stop them. Many farmers were injured in police operations.
