December 23, 2024: The ongoing saga between Punjabi music stars AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh takes a dramatic turn, coinciding with Karan Aujla’s high-energy concert in Mumbai and an unexpected collaboration with Dhillon. Aujla fans were delighted when Dhillon took to the stage during the concert, creating a buzz in the Punjabi music industry. The surprising collaboration comes amid public tensions between Dhillon and Dosanjh, currently two of the biggest names in the industry.

Karan Aujla’s concert in Mumbai on December 21 has already excited fans. Aujla, known for his unapologetic style and pop songs, took things to the next level on Sunday by inviting another superstar of the Punjabi music industry, AP Dhillon, to join him on stage. The presence of Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar and Neha Dhupia added glamor to the event. After the show, Dhillon shared a photo on Instagram with the caption “Mahol pura wavy”, to which Aujla humorously replied “Neend ni aundi” which means “can’t sleep” – a light-hearted exchange that showed off their camaraderie .

Meanwhile, the collaboration between Aujla and Dhillon comes against the backdrop of simmering tensions between Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh. The feud started after Diljit publicly wished Aujla and Dhillon good luck on their tour and highlighted the rise of independent Punjabi music. Diljit’s comments shared on social media praised the current wave of independent music, calling it a revolution in the making. He also cited a shift in ticket sales, with ticket prices now skyrocketing for Indian artists that were once reserved for foreign artists – a nod to the success of stars like Dhillon and Ojila.

However, tensions erupted when AP Dhillon directly addressed Diljit during a show in Chandigarh and said, “First, unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me.” Dhillon claimed that Diljit had blocked him on the platform , which resulted in the exchange of screenshots. Diljit presented evidence that he did not block Dhillon, but the latter doubled down and shared screen recordings to prove his point. Dhillon further fueled the feud by posting an Instagram story saying “at least we know what’s real and what’s fake.”

The entire exchange adds a layer of drama to the continued success of these Punjabi music artistes. AP Dhillon, known for his fusion of Punjabi and western music, continues to make waves internationally, while Diljit, who fuses folk and contemporary music, is wrapping up his highly successful run Deere lamp travel. As Diljit is about to perform his last show in Guwahati on December 29, the rivalry between the two stars seems to be far from over.

As this public debate continues, fans and industry observers are closely watching to see if this rivalry will impact their respective careers or further push the independent Punjabi music scene. Either way, a new chapter in Punjabi music has begun, with Aujla, Dhillon and Dosanjh all contributing to its growing global influence.
