Indian teen drug addiction
A 2018 survey in India showed that 153 million people across the country were drug users, with the majority of them drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana. In response to a question in Parliament in August 2023, it was informed that in 2018, 200,000 young people aged 10-17 years took hallucinogens, while 11,01,000 young people aged 18-75 years took hallucinogens.
Drug seizures across the country
Drugs and other toxic substances are being seized from different parts of the country. Currently, a majority of the country’s youth are addicted to drugs. In addition to drugs, narcotics, and marijuana, teenagers consume many other types of narcotics. To stop this, NCB is organizing many programs.
