There is anger across the country after the incident of rape-murder of a doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. Questions are also being raised on Mamata government. Many TMC leaders are also raising questions on the administration in this matter. Meanwhile, TMC MP June Maliya also participated in a demonstration organized in Medinipur to protest against this incident. He took out a candle march here with hundreds of people.

In fact, a big protest march was organized in Medinipur on Monday in connection with the rape-murder case of a doctor. This march was led by TMC MP June Maliya. Under the leadership of June Malia, a large number of women took out a candle march. During this she said, ‘I have come on the streets as a woman. Not as an MP or leader. There are many women here who have nothing to do with politics. Naturally, we all have only one demand that those who do this should be punished as soon as possible. We will raise this issue together in Parliament. This is a big fight… it is not going to end in a day or a few months’ fight.
Sukhendu Shekhar also raised questions
Let us tell you that earlier TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar had also raised questions. He had said that he was also going to join the doctors’ strike. Sukhendu had said, ‘I am going to join the protesters. Because like millions of Bengali families, I also have a daughter and a small granddaughter. We must rise to this occasion. There is enough cruelty against women.

TMC MP Sukhendu Shekhar had raised many questions, he had said, ‘Whatever happens, let us all come together to protest against this incident. Raped and brutally murdered in RG Kar Hospital. Who are those people? Now CBI will investigate. Why are efforts being made to save the beasts? Whoever is responsible for this crime should be hanged.
However, after this step of Sukhendu, his problems also increased. Kolkata Police had sent him a notice. Sukhendu Shekhar has been accused of posting “false information” on X regarding the investigation into the rape and murder case that took place at RG Kar Hospital.
In fact, on August 9, the body of a female doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital, Kolkata. Since then, the resident doctors have been demanding justice for the victim in the case.
