Police have stepped up investigations after violence broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhar district on Sunday. Police identified more than 100 stones using mobile CCTV and drone cameras. Of these, 27 accused have been arrested. The 27 defendants arrested by the police also included some minor boys. Meanwhile, police made shocking revelations quoting the arrested accused. Accused stoners resorted to horrific tactics to escape police tear gas.
How to avoid tear gas
Among the violent suspects arrested by Sambal police, three were found with green lotion smeared above and below their eyes when they were caught by police. When police questioned the arrested defendants, they told police they used the green lotion to protect themselves from tear gas. By using this green lotion, the effects of tear gas on your eyes can be reduced.
Three women were also arrested
Police also arrested three women for throwing stones at police officers in Sambal and inciting violence. Amid the Sambhar violence, the police registered separate cases, one of which included Sambhar MP Ziaur Rehman Walker and Sambhar Iqbal Mahmood’s son Suhail Iqbal. The police have since registered separate cases on complaints filed by the families of the four youths killed in the Sambhar violence.
Police are conducting raids at various places to nab the remaining accused. Police are first investigating instructions for crowds to gather around the Jama Masjid on the day of the violence. The second question in the police investigation was who incited the crowd to commit violence.
