Amit Shah’s meeting on violence in Manipur.
Manipur is on fire again. The fire of violence engulfed innocent people. In this regard, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with security agencies on Monday. Sources said that a high-level meeting has decided to send 50 more companies in view of the situation in Manipur.
According to sources, an additional 50 companies, or 5,000 soldiers, will be deployed in Manipur. A total of 27,000 paramilitary troops have been deployed in Manipur so far. The Home Minister inquired about the deployment of central paramilitary forces in the state. All agencies are directed to give top priority to the process of restoring peace in the country.

Violence has been ongoing between the Meitai community in the Imphal valley and the Kuki community in the neighboring mountains since May last year. More than 200 people have died as a result. Thousands of people are left homeless. Recently, violence broke out again after the bodies of women and children were recovered from the Jilibam area. Militants allegedly kidnapped and killed them.
Director General of CRPF and other officials of CRPF are also in the state. Currently, there are 218 CAPF companies in the state. The Union Home Ministry said on Saturday that all security forces deployed in Manipur have been directed to take necessary steps to restore peace. The security situation in the state has remained severe over the past few days. Villains from both communities were involved in the violence. They also have weapons. Many people died in the violence. Law and order has been disrupted.
