Riots continued Thursday after a shoving incident broke out between lawmakers inside the Capitol. Both the BJP and the Congress are at each other’s throats on this issue. Let us tell you that Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has been accused of pushing and injuring a BJP MP inside the Parliament complex. BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput have been admitted to hospital. Meanwhile, now Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has taken notice of the entire incident. Lok Sabha Speaker Birla has issued strict instructions regarding the Parliament complex.
Speaker gave strict instructions
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla issued strict instructions that no political party, MP or group of MPs should hold any protest or demonstration at the gates of the Parliament House. Meanwhile, Speaker Om Birla also issued instructions that no MP, member group or political party and its members shall protest at any door of the Parliament House.
FIR against Rahul Gandhi
On the other hand, the Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi based on a complaint from a BJP leader. The police have registered a case against Rahul Gandhi under Sections 117,125, 131,3(5). No case has been registered against Rahul Gandhi for attempt to murder under Section 109 of the BNS. Meanwhile, the Congress announced protests at all district headquarters across the country over the statement filed by Home Minister Amit Shah and FIR against Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi.
PM Modi inquires about status of MPs
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called injured Bharatiya Janata Party MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput to inquire about their health following the riots at Parliament House. Let us tell you that both Congress MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput have been admitted to the hospital. Both accused Rahul Gandhi of pressuring them.
