Anger erupted after the allegations were made by the son of Maharashtra Congress’ second-ranking MP and former MP Jagannath Shetty

Anger among party workers erupted after the release of the second Congress list for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. After the list was announced, party workers in many places expressed dissatisfaction. After the list of candidates was announced, former MP Jagannath Shetty’s son expressed his displeasure.

He said Congress is applying a double standard. In Dharavi, the ticket went to Varsha Gaikwad’s sister, but in Sion Koliwada, the ticket went to Ganesh Yadav, leaving me aside.

Why was the ticket given to Varsha’s sister in Dharavi? She wasn’t even a party member. She and her husband planned to sell out Congress. The party’s high command should think about this.

Dissatisfaction with Congress’s second list

Let me tell you that after the Central Election Committee meeting, the National Assembly announced the list of the second parliamentary election proposed on November 20. In this seat, the sitting MLA from Jalna Kailash Gorantyal got the ticket while Sunil Kedar’s wife Anuja emerged as the candidate from Savner seat.

Congress had earlier announced the names of 48 candidates in the first batch of lists. At this point, Congress has so far announced the names of 71 candidates in the second batch of lists.

Sunil Kedar’s wife Anuja is the Congress candidate from Savner constituency in Nagpur district. Let us tell you that Sunil Kedar has been disqualified from contesting elections for six years after being convicted in the Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank (NDCCB) scam.

Maha Vikas Aghadi to form government

Senior Congress leader and former deputy speaker Vasant Purke has again won the Ralegaon (Yavatmal) seat, while Shivajirao Moghe’s son Jitendra has emerged as the candidate from the Arni seat (Yavatmal).

Ganesh Yadav from Sion Koliwada, Kalu Badheliya from Kandivali East constituency and Yashwant from Charkop Yashwant Singh emerged as candidate. In Wardha, the party has given the ticket to Shekhar Shinde, son of late former Speaker Pramod Shinde.

Announcing the seats, Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said the decision was taken after the Congress Central Election Committee discussed the remaining seats in Maharashtra. They participate in elections together. He had full confidence that the public would support them in the elections and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government would be formed.

CPPCC Chairman Nana Patole said Maha Vikas Aghadi will perform better in the Assembly elections than in the Lok Sabha elections. Maha Vikas Aghadi will form the government with a majority.
