An 18-year-old youth has been detained for molesting a minor student and making objectionable remarks near a school near ITO, Delhi. Video of the incident, in which police officers can be seen holding a boy, has become increasingly popular on social media. The boy was also seen trying to force the police. The police have registered a case against the accused under the BNS and POCSO Act.
According to police, the incident occurred on Tuesday in front of a school near Ito. A PCR van was parked there. Later, someone informed the local police about the incident and asked them to help the girl, who rushed to the scene. There was a boy molesting a girl in school uniform. The police immediately took the boy into custody and began interrogation.
The defendant told police he met the girl through social media platform Instagram. The two have known each other for two years. During interrogation, the boy revealed his name as Samad Ansari, alias Yahya Kamal. The girl standing next to him also told him that she already knew him. But he misbehaved with her. However, in this case, the accused boy allegedly put the girl in trouble by giving her a Hindu name.
A senior police officer said the accused have been taken to the police station for questioning. The girl said she had known the accused through social media for the past two years. They are all friends. The boy also went to the girl’s house. According to the girl, the two were in a relationship at the time and had some arguments. A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) and the Indian Judicial Code in this regard.

The boy with the same name befriended an underage girl on Instagram. One day after that, he called the girl to see him. When she reached him, the accused and some persons abducted her. Thereafter, his family was asked to pay a ransom of Rs 5 lakh.
When the father of the victim girl filed a report at Shalimar Garden Police Station regarding his daughter’s disappearance and demand for ransom, the local police took immediate action. Police formed multiple teams. The little girl has been rescued safely from Delhi. DCP Nimish Patil said both the arrested accused had befriended many other girls in the same manner. They also extorted money and jewelery through blackmail.
