Home Minister Amit Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah today launched the Civil Registration System (CRS) application at the Census Building. Through this app, any ordinary person can register births and deaths anywhere. With the help of this app, now you can easily complete the registration process while sitting at home. The app has proven effective in freeing the common man from visiting government offices and standing in long queues.
To this end, India Census 2021 officials said that registration of births and deaths can be easily done through the app. According to the procedure, anyone must submit birth or death related information on the app and register it within 21 days of the birth or death.
According to the application, if you are unable to register within 21 days, you will need to pay an additional fee. For this, any ordinary person in the country will have to pay a fee of Rs 2 within 22 to 30 days and a late fee of Rs 5 between 31 days and a year. Apart from this, the fee for old certificates has been fixed at Rs 10 i.e. the maximum late payment penalty is Rs 10.
On the occasion, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the application allows citizens to register in the official language of their state anytime and anywhere. This way, registration of births and deaths becomes simple and hassle-free.
Preparations for the country’s census have been stepped up. The mobile app will also be used to collect census information. He also said that the National Population Register (NPR) would be conducted for the first time. The country’s public security system will be improved as a result, and it will also provide a new path for the country’s development.
However, there is no information yet on when the census will begin and what form it will take. In addition, the opposition parties have continued to demand a caste census, and what actions the government has taken in this regard have yet to be answered.
