US President Donald Trump said, “We are going to make a very good deal with China.” When asked if America should be worried because its colleagues are getting closer to China, he replied, “no”.
“No one can compete with us,” he says. “I think we are going to make a very good deal with China.”
Trump claimed that China was ready to hold a meeting with the US.
“Yesterday there was a very productive call with the President of Mexico. Similarly, I met the highest level Japanese business representatives. It was a very productive meeting. Every nation including China, today, wants to meet Italy!” He said that.
Donald Trump believes that it is up to China, not in the United States, to come to the conversation table of business, the White House said on Tuesday that the US President accused Beijing of sacrificing a prominent Boeing deal.
“The ball is in the court of China. China needs to make a deal with us. We do not have to make a deal with him,” Trump said in a briefing press secretary Karolin Lewet.
“There is no difference between China and any other country except that they are very big,” he said.
China on Wednesday told Washington that US President Donald Trump said that he was up to Beijing to come to the conversation table to discuss his trade war.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lynn Gian said, “If America really wants to solve the issue through dialogue and conversation, it should stop excessive pressure, stop threatening and blackmail, and talk to China on the basis of equality, respect and mutual gains.”
“China’s situation has been very clear. There is no winner in the tariff war or business war,” Lynn said. “China doesn’t want to fight, but it is not afraid of fighting.”
Trump slapped a new tariff on friend and enemy, but has reserved its heaviest blasts for China, with 145 percent on several Chinese imports, even Beijing retaliated with Levy on American goods of 125 percent.
