American warnings, meeting after meeting in Tehran… What happened after Israel attacked Iran?

Currently, tensions in the Middle East are at their highest. Israel’s retaliatory attacks on Iranian military targets have destabilized the situation. The United States warned the Iranian regime against any plans for retaliatory action. The Pentagon said Saturday’s Israeli attack was aimed at ending hostilities between the two countries.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said “Iran should not make the mistake of responding to the Israeli attack.” U.S. President Joe Biden said he hoped the attack on Iran would end months of tensions. “I hope this is the end,” he said Saturday. According to local Iranian media reports, Iran’s parliament held a meeting on Sunday morning to discuss the Israeli attack.

Choose targets based on national interests

Iran did not take the attack seriously and said it was responsible for regional peace and security. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel selects Iranian targets based on national interests and not on U.S. orders. His comments came in response to media reports that Israel had refrained from attacking Iranian gas and oil facilities due to U.S. pressure.

Missile production facility destroyed

Satellite images showed the Israeli strikes targeted buildings used by Iran to mix solid fuel for ballistic missiles, according to experts conducting the assessment. According to media reports, Israel’s air strikes completely destroyed Iran’s missile production facilities, which was a huge blow to Iran.

Iran admits ‘limited losses’

After the attack, Tehran held several high-level meetings to determine the scope of Iran’s response. Iran said it suffered “limited losses” in the attacks, but several Revolutionary Guard positions in and around Tehran were hit.

Israel eases restrictions

Meanwhile, the Israeli military has eased some security restrictions on residents of northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces said it did not expect an immediate large-scale attack by Iran or its regional proxies.

The Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah has warned residents of more than two dozen Israeli “settlements” to evacuate immediately. Israel continues to attack northern Gaza, with the latest attack killing at least 30 people.
