American basketball coach appreciated Harvard’s disregard on Trump

San Francisco:

Steve Cair, head coach of Golden State Warriors, on Wednesday held a rally to support Harvard University, refusing to present the government surveillance demanded by US College President Donald Trump.

Kerr, who has regularly criticized Trump and campaigned for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris before last year’s election, arrived for his post-game news conference after the Golden State victory against Memphis wearing a Harvard T-shirt.

The 59 -year -old revealed that he was sent to the shirt by Harvard Basketball Coach Tommy Amkar, which was described as a friend by Kerr.

“It felt it like a great day to wear it,” Kerr said, appreciating the disregard of Harvard of the Edit of Trump administration.

“I believe in academic freedom and I think it is important for all our institutions to be able to handle their own business, the way they want, and they should not be shaken down and told what to teach and what to say by our government.

“This is the most humble thing that I have ever heard. But it is equal for the course right now. So yes, it is supporting me Harvard – the way to go, the way to bully.”

Trump on Tuesday threatened to snatch Harvard of his tax-free position as the quarrel with the college increased.

The President had already gone to freeze Harvard to freeze the federal funding of $ 2.2 billion, which refused to refuse himself to demand, including how the university selects students.
