Four Indians including two from Hyderabad died in a five-vehicle collision in Texas, USA. These four people were connected through a car pooling app. All of them were going to Bentonville on Friday, when the SUV car caught fire and their bodies were burnt. DNA and fingerprinting will be done to identify the dead. At the same time, Anna Police and Fire Team took action at the spot and diverted the traffic towards another highway.

According to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, this horrific accident happened near White Street at around 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon. The deceased in the accident have been identified as Aryan Raghunath Orampati of Hyderabad, his friend Farooq Sheikh, Lokesh Palacharla of Telugu and Darshini Vasudevan of Tamil Nadu.

‘The dead will be identified through DNA test’

Local officials said, “DNA fingerprinting will be done to identify the bodies and the samples will be matched with the DNA of the parents.” The identification of the dead has been delayed due to the long weekend in the US.

Eyewitnesses said that the traffic was moving very slowly due to the jam on the National Highway. Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind hit the SUV car. The collision was so severe that the car caught fire, due to which four people sitting inside the car were burnt. Due to the bodies being burnt, it became difficult to identify the dead.

Aryan Raghunath Orampati, who lives in Bentonville, was returning home after visiting his cousin in Dallas. Lokesh Palacharla was going to Bentonville to meet his wife. Darshini Vasudevan, a master’s degree graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington, was going to meet her uncle in Bentonville. The group of four had planned their journey using a carpooling app. It is through this app that the authorities have been able to identify the victims.

Parents attended their son’s convocation

A family member said that Aryan’s father Subhash Chandra Reddy is the owner of Max Agri Genetic Private Limited in Kukatpalli, Hyderabad. Aryan has done engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. Aryan’s parents went to attend the convocation ceremony at the University of Texas Dallas in May last year. After the convocation, Aryan’s parents asked him to return to India, but he told his parents that he wanted to work in America for two more years and then return. Let us tell you that Farooq also lived in Bentonville, while Darshini lived in Frisco Texas.

Farooq Shaikh’s father Mastan Wali said, “For the last three years, Farooq was living in the US for his MS studies and recently he completed his studies. He has completed his engineering from Vasavi College. He said that my daughter also lives in the US and she is taking care of the situation. Mastan Wali is a retired private employee and his family lives in BHEL Hyderabad.

Appeal to Foreign Minister

Darshini Vasudevan’s parents, who were in regular contact with her until some time before the accident, are now appealing to India’s Union Foreign Minister S Jaishankar for help. Her father appealed and said that we parents are really worried and it is almost a data, because we have come to know the condition of our daughter.
