13 years after the death of Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait, who fought for the farmers, Kairana court issued a notice for his arrest in a case. The notice created a ruckus when the police of Bhaura Kala police station of Muzaffarnagar district reached the house of Tikait family in Sisauli village with this notice to arrest them. Late Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait’s grandson Charan Singh Tikait has raised questions about this notice and said that it is a big lapse of the judiciary along with the government administration.

Let us tell you that in an old case of road blockage in Kandhla of Shamli district, Kairana court has issued non-bailable warrants against many people including late Chaudhary Mahendra Singh Tikait, founder and president of Bhartiya Kisan Union, whereas it has been 13 years since Mahendra Singh Tikait’s death. This warrant has been issued by the court due to non-submission of death certificate in the court.

Tikait’s grandson Charan Singh said that this raises the question that before sending the notice, you should have checked against whom you are sending the notice. Baba Mahendra Singh Tikait raised his voice for the poor farmers and everyone knows him. The whole of India knows him, so in such a situation, how much trouble the common man must have to face, mental and physical, and how much trouble he has to face from the judiciary and the police administration. He left his body on 15 May 2011 at 7:14 and this notice came about 13 years after that. Apart from this, Bhaura Kala police station should have known where you are sending him. He should have been sent back from there itself.
