Police have arrested a criminal named Bhagwan Sahay Gadu in connection with the shooting and robbery of steel businessman Harishankar Gupta in Alwar’s Rajgarh area . According to ASP Priyanka Srivastava, there are more than 26 serious cases against Bhagwan Sahay in places like Alwar, Jaipur and Bharatpur.
It is reported that the incident occurred four days ago when businessman Harishankar Gupta and driver Mahendra Meena were returning home from the warehouse. The miscreants in a car overtook his car near the railway underpass on Alwar Road in Rajgarh and forced the businessman and driver to come out while displaying weapons.
Businessman’s driver shot dead
When businessman Harishankar Gupta did not open the door, the gangsters opened fire at the car door. The driver, Mahendra Meena, was shot dead, after which Harishankar Gupta opened the car door and the gangsters fled with the bag kept in the car.
However, in their haste, the gangster left the bag containing the money and took the bag containing the lunch. After receiving the report, the police immediately rushed to the scene and sent the injured driver to the hospital for treatment. The police registered a case based on the victim’s complaint. During the course of investigation, the police came to know that notorious history-sheeter Bhagwan Sahay alias Gadu, a resident of Mawa, was behind the incident. Police raided and arrested the accused.

Regarding the matter, SP Priyanka Srivastava said that Bhagwan Sahay is the history-sheeter of many police stations and the police are now busy looking for other absconding accused. Police are also investigating how Bhagwan Sahay planned the incident and why he fired the gun. Other accused will be arrested soon.
