Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.
Politics in Delhi heated up over Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement on the free scheme in Karnataka. Prime Minister Modi also took a jibe at Haq’s remarks, saying it was easy to make false promises but impossible to deliver. Now Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has hit back at the Prime Minister’s remarks. He said the prime minister’s accusations against Congress were not true.
Priyanka Gandhi posted on social media X that Mahatma Gandhi once said that truth is God. Satyamev Jayate written in Mundakopanishad is our national motto. These truth-establishing mottos became the ideals of the Indian independence movement, Indian reconstruction, and public life. In a country where truth has been the foundation of culture for thousands of years, those in the highest positions should not resort to lies.
Priyanka said- Guarantees fulfilled in Congress ruled states
He further wrote that the prime minister’s accusations against Congress were not true. The Congress party started fulfilling the promises made to the people of the state as soon as the government was formed without waiting for the next elections. Be it Karnataka, Telangana or Himachal Pradesh, in the Congress-ruled states, people’s money comes into the pockets of the people every day through guarantees.
Priyanka says – destroys the dignity of the position
Congress said the Prime Minister has understood that his words have no value in front of the people of the country. There were promises like the 100 Day Plan, consulting 2 million people on the roadmap to 2027, providing 20 million jobs every year, 100 smart cities, recovering black money, but these have been proven to be false and now People across the country are angry and have no faith in such a promise. By making empty promises, the Prime Minister has destroyed the dignity of the highest and respected office in the country.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Modi had taken a jibe at Haq’s statement.
In fact, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took a jibe at Haq’s statement and said the Congress party is realizing that it is easy to make false promises but difficult and impossible to deliver them. In campaign after campaign, they made promises to the people that even they knew they could never keep. Now, their image has been exposed to the public.
The Prime Minister further said that the people of the country must be aware of the culture of false promises supported by the Congress. We have recently seen how the people of Haryana rejected his lies and chose a stable, progressive and effective government.
