Congress leader P Chidambaram, who fainted due to the heat at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, said that all his tests are normal and he is now completely well.
He suffered dehydration due to excessive heat.

“Due to excessive heat, I faced dehydration. All tests are normal. I am completely fine now. Thanks,” he said in an update on his health in a social media post on X.
Earlier, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said that his father P Chidambaram had made an episode of prince in Ahmedabad due to excessive heat and dehydration and is subject to observation at Zidas Hospital. He said that doctors are reviewing their parameters, which are currently normal.
In a social media post on X, Carte Chidambaram said, “My father @pchidambaram_in has been examined and has been examined by a team of emergency physicians, cardiologists and neurologists, all current reports are within general parameters. They are being kept overnight for observation.
He said, “My father @pchidambaram_in had an episode of preiscopes due to excessive heat and dehydration in Ahmedabad and is subject to observation at Zeds Hospital. The doctors are reviewing their parameters which are currently normal,” he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chidambaram reached Ahmedabad for the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session.
The 84th National Conference of AICC was held in Ahmedabad on 8-9 April, with a return to Gujarat after a gap of 64 years.
