Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has arrived at Ghaziabad Hindon Airport on a private plane from Lucknow as scheduled to address an election rally for the Mirapur by-election . Even after waiting for several hours, the helicopter from Agra failed to arrive due to bad weather and air force training in Agra.
After a long wait at the Ghaziabad airport, Akhilesh Yadav set out for Delhi along with Shah Mohammad, husband of candidate Sambur Rana from Melpur.
For Meerapur Assembly, Akhilesh Yadav will campaign through roadshows and Rath Yatra on November 18 as a candidate for Muzaffarnagar Assembly Meerapur by-election.

Akhilesh’s Meerapur rally canceled
Akhilesh Yadav’s rally in Meerapur assembly constituency on Saturday was called off as his helicopter was not allowed to take off from Hindon. The rally will be held at Kakroli village.
SP district president Zia Chaudhary told reporters that the rally was called off as his (Yadav’s) helicopter was not allowed to take off from Hinton airport. The SP announced that Yadav will host a roadshow in the constituency on November 18.
The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh will seek support for party candidate Sumbul Rana, who is contesting from the Meerapur seat. The parliamentary constituency by-election will be held on November 20.
