Ayodhya gang-rape is also a heinous crime like Hathras, Unnao and Kathua. Therefore, politics is also happening with great enthusiasm. By-elections are to be held for 10 assembly seats in UP, which also includes Milkipur seat of Ayodhya. Milkipur assembly seat has become vacant due to Awadhesh Prasad reaching the Lok Sabha from Faizabad, and hence by-elections will be held.
Ever since the results of the Lok Sabha elections came out, Awadhesh Prasad has been in the national politics as the MP from Ayodhya. Akhilesh Yadav is projecting Avadhesh Prasad with special importance at various places – and is busy strengthening his political ground against BJP in UP.
The problem has arisen that Ayodhya gangrape accused Moeed Khan has been declared an ally of BJP’s Awadhesh Prasad and has claimed to be a leader of Samajwadi Party – pictures of Moeed Khan with Awadhesh Prasad are going viral. BJP was sitting in wait ever since Akhilesh Yadav reached Parliament after handing over the Constitution to Awadhesh Prasad. And was sitting in the first row with Rahul Gandhi. The aim was to publicize that BJP has lost Ayodhya.
Now Awadhesh Prasad has come under target regarding Moeed Khan. When questioned on the photo with Moeed Khan, he says, ‘Every day at least 500 people get photographed with me… how can we deny the photo.’
You are absolutely right. But the matter is not just about denying the photo, but also about standing in defense of the accused. Awadhesh Prasad says, no innocent person should be implicated… DNA test should be done… Samajwadi Party stands with the victim and his family with full alertness.
Without investigation, why does Awadhesh Prasad feel that an innocent person is being implicated? It seems as if they are considering Moeed Khan innocent and are already giving a clean chit from their side.
Awadhesh Prasad has also reiterated the demand for DNA test like Akhilesh Yadav. Whatever happens next, Akhilesh Yadav is already politically embroiled in this issue. Not only BJP, Mayawati is also attacking Akhilesh Yadav – only one leader from Congress has supported Akhilesh Yadav.

2. Is Akhilesh’s statement also the same as Mulayam’s?
Whenever cases of crimes against women come up, a statement by socialist leader Mulayam Singh Yadav definitely comes to mind, ‘They are boys… boys make mistakes…’
Mulayam Singh had given this political statement, keeping in mind the specific vote bank. Akhilesh Yadav has gone a little ahead of him. Like his father, Akhilesh Yadav has no shyness from English language and computers. 3. The attitude was insensitive even in Swati Maliwal case

5. Politics has its place, crime against women is a serious matter
Crime against women has to be kept separate from vote bank politics. But looking at the Ayodhya gangrape case, it does not seem that anyone is seen standing apart. Everyone has their own politics.
Vote bank politics is easily understood, but everything cannot be put on hold for vote bank.
