Akhilesh takes a jibe at postponement of by-elections in Ayodhya’s Mirkipur constituency: ‘Whoever delays the war thinks he has lost the war’

By-elections were originally scheduled for 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, but the Election Commission only announced the by-election dates for 9 seats and postponed the by-election for the Milkipur seat in Ayodhya. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav took a dig at the BJP in this regard.

Milkipur MLA becomes Ayodhya MP

Talking about the Mirkipur seat in Ayodhya, the seat was won by the Samajwadi Party in 2022. However, Akhilesh made him the candidate from Faizabad (Ayodhya) for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which he won. It was in this seat that Akhilesh described Awadesh Prasad as a former MP when he appealed to the public during the election campaign, after which Awadesh Prasad was shocked and folded his hands on the stage Say: “Sir, I am a Member of Parliament”.

10 seats vacant in UP

Among the 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh where by-elections will be held, they include Karhal in Manpur, Sisamau in Kanpur, Phulpur in Prayagraj, Katehari in Ambedkar Nagar, Majhwan in Mirzapur, Milkipur in Ayodhya, Ghaziabad Sadar, Khair in Aligarh, Mirapur includes the seats of Muzaffarnagar and Moradabad. However, by-elections were announced for only 9 seats. The date for Milkipur seat is yet to be announced. When will elections be held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand?

Voting will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and the results will be declared on the 23rd. All 288 seats in the state will go to polls in a phased manner. According to the Election Commission, the last date for nominations is October 29. Voting will be held in two phases in Jharkhand. According to the Election Commissioner, voting will be held from November 13 to 20. The state’s election results will also be declared along with Maharashtra’s. The results of the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be declared on November 23.
