Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has created a record by leaving behind many powerful Chief Ministers of the state, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav. He has become the Chief Minister with the longest continuous tenure in Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath has made a new record of becoming CM for 7 consecutive years and 148 days. Before Yogi, Congress Chief Minister Dr. Sampurnanand has held this post for the longest time. Not only this, he has also become the first Chief Minister to hoist the flag at Vidhan Bhawan of Uttar Pradesh for the eighth consecutive time.

Chaudhary Charan Singh, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav are nowhere near CM Yogi. Mayawati took oath as the Chief Minister of UP four times while Mulayam Singh took oath thrice, but still he could not establish this record.

BSP chief Mayawati had taken oath as the Chief Minister of UP four times but her entire tenure was of seven years and 16 days. Mulayam Singh Yadav became Chief Minister three times. During this period, the total tenure of Mulayam Singh Yadav was six years and 274 days.

Let us tell you that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is counted among those leaders under whose leadership a party formed the government in the state for the second consecutive time. When Yogi took oath as Chief Minister on March 25, 2022, he broke the 37-year-old record of Narayan Dutt Tiwari. Narayan Dutt took oath as the Chief Minister for the second time in undivided Uttar Pradesh in the year 1985. After the formation of Uttarakhand, Yogi is the first CM of the state, who has come to power for the second consecutive time.
