October 12, 2024: Late on Friday night, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to Instagram to wish her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan a happy 82nd birthday. Aishwarya shared a throwback picture of Amitabh with daughter Aaradhya and wrote in the post, “Happy birthday paa-dadaji. God bless always” and then is her signature use of emojis.
Despite the warm gesture, neither Amitabh’s son Abhishek Bachchan nor daughter Shweta Bachchan shared birthday wishes for their father on social media. Adding fuel to rumors of discord within the Bachchan family.

Rumors of family tensions: Speculations about tensions between Aishwarya and the Bachchan family came into focus earlier this year when Aishwarya and Aaradhya attended Anant Ambani’s wedding separately from other family members. Moreover, during Aishwarya’s recent appearances at Paris Fashion Week and IIFA Awards, Aaradhya was her only companion, which also added to the gossip.
