Spam calls and text messages are a big problem. Many people are bothered by these calls and complain. To address this issue, Airtel has taken special measures. The company has released an AI-driven spam detection solution.

With the help of artificial intelligence, this service will protect Airtel consumers from possible spam calls and text messages. The company says the solution will provide users with real-time information about spam calls and text messages. The service is available to both prepaid and postpaid consumers.

You pay nothing

Customers are not required to pay any separate fees for this service. This will be free and will be activated automatically. Airtel consumers do not need to make any request or download any app to avail the service. The company has clarified that the feature is only available on smartphones.

What does the company say?

Airtel CEO and Managing Director Gopal Vittal told a press conference, “Spam is a threat to customers. “We have been working on this issue for the past 12 months.

He said: “This solution is designed as a two-layer protection with two filters. One filter works at the network layer and the other works at the IT remote layer. All calls and text messages will go through this two-layer protection system.

According to Vitthal, the system can handle 1.5 billion messages and 2.5 billion calls per day in just 2 milliseconds. Airtel developed this technology with the help of 400 Airtel data scientists. Apart from preventing spam calls, the network also alerts Airtel users about suspicious links via SMS.
