Air India takes big decision over food dispute. The Tata Group-owned company said it will no longer serve “halal” food to Hindus and Sikhs on flights. According to the airline, pre-ordered meals bearing the MOML Muslim Meal label will be considered Special Meals (SPML). Only food that raises the MOML will receive a halal certificate. All food from the Saudi unit will be halal. Pilgrimage flights including Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh and Medina sectors will be issued halal certificates.
