Manoj Jalanji

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil in an interview with a news agency ahead of the November 20 assembly elections in Maharashtra , without naming the BJP. His interview, conducted just days before the election, is likely to unsettle the ruling party. During the interview, he repeatedly attacked the BJP and Mahayuthy without naming them.

Jalanji said those who claim that Hindus are in danger and talk about unity are the same people responsible for not giving reservation to Marathas in Maharashtra. Regarding the elections, he said Maharashtra voters are ready to defeat the BJP and Mahayutthi Party. He attacked the Mahayut government, saying all sections of society were in trouble because of it.

If Hindus were in danger, what about the Marathas?

Manoj Jarange Patil alleged that a self-proclaimed Hindu unity worker used his Maratha community to target minorities. But when the Marathas demanded their rights, they were ignored.

He said those who claim that Hindus are in danger, what about Marathas? Don’t you see the problem with their children? If you say Hindus are in trouble, then it is your duty to improve the situation of Marathas. When we demand reservation, Hindus become our opponents, but when they have to target Muslims, we are needed.

Who will divide Hindus?

Maratha workers said on the BJP’s slogan that if they divide then they will be cut and if one is safe, who will divide Hindus? He said Marathas were the largest Hindu caste in the state. We will solve our problems ourselves. We who follow the Chhatrapati Hindu faith can protect ourselves. Mind your own business.

Marathas know who to defeat

Regarding the election polls, Jalanji said the Marathas knew very well who had to be defeated in the elections. He understood this during the Lok Sabha elections and he understands this even now. Maratha had no illusions. He accused the ruling party of not giving reservation to Marathas and said those who do not give reservation to Marathas will be 100% defeated.

Not a “double engine” but a “triple engine” government

When asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for re-election of the state’s ruling alliance for development in Maharashtra, he quipped that all sections of society were happy that the Prime Minister did not have to run the government with “double engines”. It should be called a “three-engine government.”

Jalanji said every farmer’s field in the state was irrigated and every farmer was debt-free. He blamed the government, saying farmers in the state were not getting their rights and not getting proper prices for their crops.

Make an appointment for a better future for your child

On the issue of reservation, Jarange said that Marathas want reservation for a better future for their children, Dhangarh people want reservation and small OBC communities also want reservation for their children. Everyone is angry because they didn’t get a reservation. On the polarization of OBCs in the state due to the reservation movement, he said it will not have any impact.

Fadnavis’s interests damaged

He said that Marathas and OBCs have been living together in the villages and there is no discord between them. He accused Deputy Minister Devendra Fadnavis of harming the interests of Marathas and said he was running the government and not Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

When asked about his views on Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Ajit Pawar and Shinde, he said that no one helped him on the Maratha reservation issue.
