North Korea criticized the United States to deploy B -1B strategic bombers in a recent joint military drill with South Korea, on Thursday, the state media KCNA reported.
In a statement made by KCNA, a spokesman for the country’s Defense Ministry said that the deployment of American strategic bombers in the region has become a “regular military exercise”, while it is called “careless jhansa”.
According to Seoul’s Defense Ministry, B -1B was posted in a joint military drill between South Korea and the US on Tuesday.
The B -1B bombers have been depicted in joint military exercises in recent years, which North Korea has long condemned as a rehearsal for war against it, while Seoul has portrayed the practice as purely defensive.
“The recent military steps of the US and ROK are an open threat to the security of our state,” the statement said.
